In 2020, Floriade has been reimagined (due to COVID-19) with the celebration moving from its traditional home in Commonwealth Park to bloom across Canberra.
Commonwealth-Park-2 (SONY ILCE-9 FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS [90mm,f6.3,1/500s,ISO100]) Floriade is a flower and entertainment festival held annually in Canberra’s Commonwealth Park featuring extensive displays of flowering bulbs with integrated sculptures and other artistic features.
In 2020, Floriade has been reimagined (due to COVID-19) with the celebration moving from its traditional home in Commonwealth Park to bloom across Canberra. One million bulbs and annuals have been planted to create a tulip trail through the ACT’s suburbs and city. Featuring floral plantings by the Floriade horticulture team and over 90 Canberra community groups, this year’s festival allows the community to enjoy spring blooms every day.
