Sometimes a tortoise just has to get somewhere.
Melbourne Zoo hosts a number of Aldebara tortoises, which are among the largest in the world. I’ve overheard plenty of complaints that “The tortoises aren’t moving!”, but this particular tortoise was on a mission, moving as fast as I’ve ever seen.
This image was shot with a Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II lens at 200mm, at f/2.8 1/2000 ISO 1000. I probably didn’t need 1/2000 to catch this speed-demon.
