This is the eighth of a series of articles showcasing pictures taken on the Voigtländer Nokton 17.5mm/1:0.95. These pictures of street art and graffiti were taken around Newtown side streets.
The area surrounding Newtown and adjoining suburbs of Enmore, Camperdown and St. Peters have been known in the last few years for street art and graffiti. I used to live in Newtown and have visited the area many times.
This was a good opportunity to see how well the lens capture colour and detail in potentially difficult lighting situations.
The lens generally performs reasonably well, but not spectacular, in this environment. Overall, I wasn’t too displeased with the end result, but I know I have taken better photos with different equipment.
