Japan: Universal Studios Japan

Universal Studios Japan was the third theme park opened after the original Universal Studios Hollywood, and Universal Studios Orlando. It was the first park in the franchise to open outside the US.

It’s an immensely popular theme park, attracting millions of visitors each year, and it can take several hours to queue for some of the popular rides. When we visited, one of the key attractions was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which included a complete recreation of Hogwarts, including the Black Lake and the neighbouring village of Hogsmeade.

I also enjoyed the recreation of Amityville from the Jaws film series, and homages to San Francisco and New York streets.
