Bebeah is a 5 hectare garden at Mt Wilson featuring an extensive strolling path featuring many varieties of flowering plants, and a semi formal design including a lake.

We’ve always found Bebeah fascinating, because of the mix of formal and informal elements, ancient trees next to hedges of flowering azaleas and camellias and various statues and sculptures. At the centre of the property is a large lake and the landscape gradually rolls down into a another tiny pond surrounded by native plants.

The garden was established by Edward Cox in 1880 but has been extensively renovated and reshaped by current owner Barry Byrne. In addition to the weatherboard Victorian gothic house, there are two cottages (available for rent) and a dining room with frescoes turning it into a mock ruin.
